DIEP Flap (natural tissue) Breast Reconstruction: Case 5- DIEP flap (natural tissue) breast reconstruction, nipple sparing & breast lift after double mastectomy

Description

This 64 year old patient had a nipple sparing - (nipple preserving) double mastectomy and immediate DIEP flap breast reconstruction using the tissue (fat) from her lower abdomen or stomach. She then had a breast lift or mastopexy as a second stage or 'step two' in order to achieve the final cosmetic result. She now has an improved waistline and abdominal contour as well as a natural looking breast that is lifted. We strive to achieve a result that looks as good or better than before the mastectomy or breast cancer treatment.
